Cast:


Summary: Townspeople are found dead, drained of their blood, leaving terrified villagers powerless against an unseen menace. The authorities are unable to explain the ferocious killings and a superstitious fear of bats grips the countryside. A kindly professor (Ralph Morgan), unaware of the malevolent spirit that dwells within his own heart, undergoes a hideous transformation into a demonic vampire with an insatiable lust for blood. Only his hunchbacked assistant (Mischa Auer) knows of the professor's dark secret - doomed by a family curse to turn into a vampire whenever the moon is down - as the murders increase and a cry for vengeance arises.
Note: - "Condemned To Live" utilises Universal's just completed European street and castle exterior set from "The Bride Of Frankenstein" (1935) and the belltower from "The Hunchback Of Notre Dame" (1923).
