short review:

Unfortunately the prominent cast couldn't hold up against my expectations. Though the movie was filmed in Romania (always good for the credibility), they made up a wild blend of historical facts and pure fiction, that already gave some hints to the following legend of "Dracula the Undead". That is ok if it's a pure fictional story, but when the title says "The True Story", I'm expecting something like a true story!! If you wanna watch a really fantastic, historical-based movie about the same topic, better watch the great Vlad The Impaler. And why of all things did they omit the moustache, Vlad Tepes' most recognizable trademark?!?
