short review:

So here I am to write a review about "Frost" starring Gary Busey and Jeff Manzanares, and to be honest I dont know what to start with for maybe I should say that neither did I read nor do I know the comic book series that the movie is based on. So comic book lovers forgive me. I guess I should start this review by saying that I thought this movie was actually fun to watch. Even though it stars Gary Busey. Or maybe I liked it because "large-print-name-on-the-front-cover-star" Mr. Busey has about 2 minutes screen time.... That we will never know....
The movie, of course, does not boast a very deep story, and that bit of story we got is not even well told, but somehow I found this movie quite watchable. As for the storyline, Nat McKenzie and Jack Frost (who disappeared misteriously after being bitten by a lost man in the desert) are best friends and mercenaries and a year after their encounter in the desert Nat had become a cold-blooded two-fanged killer craving hot plasma. As more blood drained victims are discovered, the trail leads Jack Frost to suspect his best friend Nat. Frost must battle between cold rationality and caring concern in dealing with the atrocity that was his friend. (Now, didnt that sound dramatic?)
I did like Jeff Manzanares (Frost) and C.R. Listers performances especially Manzanares because he overplayed his character very much, and that was very entertaining. Director Kevin VanHook appeared to take a light-hearted approach to the movie which does make some scenes look pretty good and funny, especially towards the end (but I shouldnt give too much away).
Just dont expect too much and you will be entertained....
