Summary:
Paris Catalano (Christopher Plummer), a distinguished scholar of Vampirism, is invited to Venice during carnival to stay with the beautiful Helietta (Barbara De Rossi) at her palace in the heart of this historical city. Legend has it that the palace was visited by the Vampire Nosferatu (Klaus Kinski) whose bite contaminated Helietta's ancestor but who then disappeared without a trace. As a leading authority in the field of occultism, Catalono is longing to finally bann the curse laid on her family, but is increasingly afraid that the evil is very much alive.

short review:
Whoah, this one blew me away! Set in a very stylish ambience - Venice during the carnival season - it revives the haunting atmosphere of good old Hammer Studios. The whole movie is done in impressive images surrounded by a one of the best scores I've heard till now. Furthermore it has two beautiful heroines and Nosferatu again is portrayed by the weird Klaus Kinski. This is a tasty morsel for all you dark creatures of the night.
