Summary:
Newlyweds Stefan and Valerie Chiltern (John Karlen & Danielle Ouimet) stop at a deserted hotel during the off-season. Their
seclusion is interrupted by the arrival of Countess Elisabeth Bathory (Delphine Seyrig) and her companion Ilona (Andrea Rau). The hotel porter insists that
the Countess is the same woman who visited the hotel 40 years earlier, even though she hasn't aged at all. Following the
murder of a young woman in a nearby village, the Countess tells the newlyweds of an ancestor who is reputed to have killed over
800 virgins and bathed in their blood to stay eternally youthful. Tensions build as the young wife, Valerie, falls under the
Countess' spell.
