Summary:
After 200 years of sleep, a cult of female vampires awakens in their crypt and decides to kidnap Diana (Maria Duval), the daughter of respectable professor Orlof (Augusto Benedico), who they believe is the reincarnation of their long-dead priestess and whose soul will be sold to the Devil. To rescue his daughter, the professor calls El Santo - the legendary professional wrestler and crime-fighter.
Note:
- In the late 50's and early 60's Mexican wrestling burst onto the screen: masked wrestlers as super heroes, battling all kind of monsters. Rodolfo Guzman Huerta (1917-1984) - aka El Santo, el Enmascarado de Plata (The Silver Maskman) - was the most popular of them. He always wore his mask whenever he was in public, even when he was not performing, until the end of his career in 1983. He made 58 movies, and was also featured in a comic book series. - Producer K. Gordon Murray's imported dubbed version (with dialogue by Manuel San Fernando) refers to the title hero as Samson, although the wrestling fans still chant "Santo! Santo!" rather than "Samson! Samson!".
