Summary:
She was innocent, pure and unsuspecting. But now, Kate Davis (Chantal Contouri) has been kidnapped by a bloodthirsty cult and taken to a remote village, where they have sanitized, hospital-like centers where red-blooded individuals are kept zoned out by tranquilizers in order to supply blood on demand. It is there that she discovers her fate: she's forced to believe being the legitimate heir of this sworn society, and, according to the prophecies of the Hyma Brotherhood, she must fulfill her destiny by marrying their leader and helping them quench their diabolical thirst for blood.
Our Ranking
short review:
They consider themselves not as traditional vampires (they even loathe the word) but more of blood-drinking humans with superhuman abilities. This is at the same time the films explanation why they are able to walk in the sunlight. Hm, okay, let's see what's next. For their needs they farm abducted "donators" like cattle and try to convince the last descendant of Lady Bathory to join their ranks. Well, the storyline ain't bad, but the movie changes between average B-movie quality and some really welldone scenes. So, all in all, you could risk a look without too much disappointment.
