Summary:
A woman is murdered in her bath by a sinister individual dressed in black. In a manor near the scene of the crime, Baroness Karlstein (Carmen Carbonell) is gravely ill and only waiting for the arrival of her granddaughter Luisa (Britt Nichols) before passing away. When Luisa arrives, her grandmothers tells her of the curse that has haunted the family for generations: The first Baron Karlstein (Howard Vernon) was a vampire. Luisa is given a key to the tower where the Baron "rests". She decides to move into the manor with her uncle Count Max Karlstein (Daniel White) and her cousin and her lover Karine (Anne Libert). After the murder of a nightclub dancer the police inspector (Alberto Dalbes) suspects that Max Karlstein is involved with the murders, but the well-educated caretaker, Cyril Jefferson (Jess Franco), seems to have a lead on the true reason the killings are occurring.
