Summary:
In a small backroads town in the dusty heart of the American southwest, a new girl never goes unnoticed. Mae (Jenny Wright) is beautiful, sensual and mysterious. She appears by night but cannot be found by day. Innocent country boy Caleb (Adrian Pasdar) discovers Mae and wants to know her better much better. Mae gives Caleb a kiss on the neck which bleeds slightly. Stunned by the kiss, Caleb barely notices Mae disappear into the dawn. But as the sun rises, its rays scorch and burn his flesh as he staggers home. Caleb never reaches home. He is snatched into a Winnebago bus, its windows blacked out, its occupants lurking in the darkness within. They are ancient and evil, a band of eternal drifters, living and hunting for human blood by night and hiding from the sun by day and Mae is one of them. Mae's kiss has transformed Caleb. He is now immortal, indestructible by night but he must learn to kill forever. She gave him the night but the night has its price.
